Born and raised in Western MA, Jess Colson has had an affinity for sports all her life. After a successful collegiate softball career at Elms College, Jess was determined to find a way to stay connected to athletics. Now, she’s the owner of NWS Fastpitch, a softball training company that helps student-athletes ages 8-23 develop pitching skills, build confidence through athletics, and train the mental side of the game of softball. And, after many years of connecting with other women who were involved in collegiate athletics, Jess decided to launch The Postgame Amateurs Podcast in 2022. This podcast features bi-weekly interviews with women who reflect on their athletic careers, from early recreation leagues through college, and how the lessons learned through sports have impacted their careers and lives. Jess holds a Bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in coaching from Elms College, as well as a Masters in business administration, also from Elms!
