Introduce yourself! Who are you and what do you do at your Chamber of Commerce?
Jamie Chapman, founder of Chickbook Creative providing business consulting services for minds of all kinds. I serve the Board of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce as Communications Chair.
What made you want to join the board for the Chamber of Commerce?
Our Sudbury Chamber of Commerce Board is 100% volunteer based! As a heart-centered business consultant my values align with our small but mighty chamber! We focus on building relationships, supporting each other and providing resources for businesses to thrive! I also love that our biggest event of the year is the 4th of July Parade! It’s where our businesses collaborate with our community to provide a wonderful local event for everyone!
What do you love the most about the area where you live in Massachusetts?
The supportive, kind and generous people in it!
Why do you think it’s important for everyone to be a member of a Chamber of Commerce?
We cannot do business alone. It takes the support of the entire community to keep a business alive. Each person brings a special gift to the table in support of that!
What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned while being a board member of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce is we all want to achieve personal and professional success and when we do that in the community of the chamber, we are!
When you’re not working, what activities do you enjoy?
When I’m not participating in the Chamber, you’ll find me walking my 3 year old Cockapoo WalterWhite_Boots (on Instagram), Chairing the Board for Leadership MetroWest (an amazing local non-profit organization #BestClassEver2022), or enjoying dinner on our back patio under the umbrella with my husband.
