CAPE COD, MA – Cape Cod Human Resources Association (CCHRA) is celebrating 40 years of supporting human resources professionals and their employers.
When our association was created in 1984, the employment landscape was vastly different, and information was rapidly changing, necessitating employers find a way to stay current with employment issues and connect to a support network. Much like then, the HR profession is ever evolving and does not show signs of slowing. To stay ahead in the world of work, human resources professionals require support, resources, and knowledge in a multitude of areas to effectively support the modern-day employer and employee. CCHRA remains committed to providing high quality, relevant programming, access to important resources, as well as networking opportunities to the HR professional.
Our meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 7:30 to 9 am. Monthly meetings will be held at Cape Space in Hyannis beginning September 26th. This meeting will feature a panel discussion on a deeper conversation about hiring solutions. Our panelists will include representatives from MassHire Cape Cod and the Islands, Elder Services Cape Cod and the Islands, LIFE, Inc and more. This session is certain to be of immense value and provide insights into the broader employment resources available locally. Beyond our kick- off event in September, our Board of Directors have a variety of programs and topics planned for the 2024 -2025 program year including mental health for the HR practitioner, a workshop intensive on how to conduct workplace investigations, a legal employment law update, and a human resources guide to artificial intelligence. In addition to monthly meetings, attendees can look forward to an after-hour event of an evening of yoga and self-care and virtual educational opportunities throughout the year.
We are honored to continue our work supporting the HR professional and look forward to the next forty years. Whether you are a company of 1000 or a small business of 5, an emerging HR professional or a veteran of the industry, or the person that wears the HR hat in addition to many others, Cape Cod Human Resources Association is here for you. Are you a student looking to learn more about the human resources profession? We would be happy to talk with you. Everyone is welcome, members and non-members. We look forward to seeing you at an event soon.
