Between the well-known “40 Under 40” awards to more specific awards for a profession or niche, there are many opportunities to make your expertise and achievements known.

Boston Business Journal’s 2023 Best Places to Work Awards
The Boston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work Awards honor the area’s leading employers. These companies have 20 or more full-time and part-time permanent employees in Massachusetts and go beyond the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for their employees.

Boston Business Journal’s 2023 Fast 50 Awards
The Boston Business Journal’s Fast 50 Awards feature the fastest-growing private companies in Massachusetts that recorded the highest revenue growth from 2019 through 2022. To be considered, companies need to have had a baseline of $1 million in revenue for 2021 and at least $500,000 in revenue for 2019.

Entrepreneur Of The Year® New England
The Entrepreneur Of The Year program, hosted by EY, has been celebrating the ambitious visionaries who are leading successful, dynamic businesses for nearly four decades. The New England program includes Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Boston Business Journal’s 2023 LGBT Corporate Ally Awards
The Boston Business Journal’s LGBT Corporate Ally Awards recognize companies that have demonstrated commitment, innovation and/or developed best practices in an effort to promote greater awareness of and solidarity with the LGBT community.
If your company has an affinity group to support LGBT employees or sponsors local LGBT organizations or related initiatives, you might be a fit. The BBJ will assess nominations in the following areas:
- Mission
- Innovation
- Impact
- Sustainability

Boston Business Journal’s 2023 LGBT Trailblazer Award
The Boston Business Journal will honor an LGBT businessperson of note as part of its annual Business of Pride event. The nomination process is open to LGBT-identified business owners as well as executives at local companies. Nominees should be based in Massachusetts and have an established track record of accomplishment in their respective field as well as active engagement in the community, particularly in regard to LGBT issues.

Boston Business Journal’s 2023 CFOs of the Year Awards
The Boston Business Journal’s CFOs of the Year Awards showcase the top chief financial officers who deliver the most outstanding performance for their Massachusetts companies.
Honorees will be considered for as many as five categories:
- Publicly traded companies
- Large private companies (over $500 million in revenue)
- Mid-sized private companies ($50 million to $500 million in revenue)
- Small private companies (under $50 million in revenue)
- Nonprofit / Government
The F. Gorham Brigham Lifetime Achievement Award also will be given to a local CFO who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and expertise throughout their career as a financial executive.

Nominate your company for a Top Places to Work employer recognition award in Massachusetts, led by The Boston Globe.

Boston Business Journal’s 2023 Corporate Citizenship Community Collaboration Awards
The Boston Business Journal’s Corporate Citizenship Community Collaboration Awards highlight companies that have demonstrated innovation and developed best practices in specific partnerships with nonprofits at any level of engagement, including volunteer work, cash donations, in-kind donations and board participation.
Nominations will be judged on four standards:
- Mission
- Innovation
- Impact
- Sustainability

Boston Business Journal’s 2023 40 Under 40 Awards
The Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Awards recognize 40 of Boston’s best and brightest young professionals who are the achievers, innovators, and leaders in their field. These awards reflect the mix of brains and passion that makes Boston a business powerhouse.

The Boston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards spotlight women who have made a difference in their businesses, their industries and their communities. Cape & Plymouth Business Media will be accepting votes for your favorite local business. Where do you shop small? What place do you always chat about with your friends that’s a “must try” or “go-to?”

Cape Cod Life’s 2023 Best of Cape Cod & the Islands
2023 marks the 32nd anniversary of Cape Cod Life’s Best of Cape Cod & the Islands Awards, making it the longest-running “Best of” contest in the region, with winners chosen by readers. The Best of awards have traditionally served as a way for Cape Cod Life to connect with thousands of locals and visitors alike, giving them the opportunity to share the people, places, and things they love best about the Cape and Islands.

Worcester Business Journal’s Central Mass Manufacturing Awards
The Worcester Business Journal’s Central Mass Manufacturing Awards will be recognizing some of the area’s top manufacturing firms in the following categories:
- General Excellence: companies that are the best of the best
- Emerging Manufacturer/Rising Star: a company in business for 10 years or less that has made significant strides
- Product Design & Innovation: a company with either a new product or a change to an existing product that has been well-received in the marketplace
- Workforce Development & Productivity: a company that has worked to train workers for its systems or developed programs with area schools to train the incoming workforce
- Sustainability/Green Manufacturing: a company that has made strides to reduce its carbon footprint and become more eco-friendly, either through its operations or its products

The Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Awards will be recognizing outstanding young leaders who are shaking up the Central Mass business community and leading us into the future. Greater Boston Awards
Boston Business Journal’s Inno Madness 2023
Inno Madness is Boston Business Journal’s annual bracket challenge designed to generate awareness and excitement for the city’s ecosystem, and those that are driving it forward.
Nominate a Boston startup, and the BostInno team will assemble brackets of private, fast-growing, tech-enabled local businesses, based on the nominations.
In March, they’ll reveal the bracket and companies will go head-to-head throughout 6 rounds with their readers, voting to determine who moves on from every matchup. Every week, they’ll post the updated bracket and voting will begin again. At the end, they’ll announce their 2023 Inno Madness Winner.

The Boston Business Journal’s Power 50 Awards focus on those in the Boston-area business community who demonstrate the most influence on making both their company and the region a better place for everyone in it.

North Shore Awards
Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce 2023 Carmon Cunningham Business Legacy Award
Carmon Cunningham, before his untimely passing in 2016, was the owner of the successful Cleaner Spot Dry Cleaners and Tailor at Wilmington Crossing. Carmon had been a member of the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber’s Board of Directors for 5 years, serving as the President in 2013 and 2014. Carmon was also very involved in a host of community and business organizations and charitable endeavors and was very well liked and respected by all he interacted with.
This award will be given to a Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber member who has made an impact in their community.

South Shore Awards
South Shore Home, Life & Style’s 2023 Best of the South Shore Awards
The Best of the South Shore (BOSS) Awards is a program hosted by South Shore Home, Life & Style based on an annual reader survey. Readers get to vote for their favorite businesses throughout the South Shore.

Western Massachusetts Awards
Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Leadership Awards
Nominate a woman in leadership for either the Mentor Leader or Rising Star category. The nominee must work or live in the Berkshires and can be a business owner, executive director, career professional, expert in their field, volunteer role model or community leader. The recipients will be chosen by the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

BusinessWest’s 40 Under 40 Awards
40 Under Forty is a celebration of young business and civic leaders in Western Massachusetts. This is a nomination-driven process; the background material submitted on a given individual is the primary source of information to be weighed by the judges who will score the candidates.
BusinessWest’s 40 Under Forty honor is driven by nomination information that’s as complete and thorough as possible so their judges can see the whole picture of the person being nominated.
