Gina, introduce yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Gina Newton, an Intuitive Life Coach. I’ve also been referred to as a Mind/Body Health Coach and an Emotions Coach. I intuitively guide women to rewire their minds to heal in mind and body. My business is called Holistic Healing with Gina Marie and my business focuses on holistic healing of mind & body for your health. My goal is for people to live a full, less anxious, more conscious life!

What made you want to start your business?

In the matter of 6 months, I lost my mother figure and my father due to lifestyle driven chronic illnesses. Following the death of my father, I developed a deep hip pain that prevented me from walking, sleeping and essentially living normally. I was prescribed a highly invasive surgery that offered no guarantees to heal my pain. I decided to pursue a natural means of healing and can proudly tell you I am pain-free after doing deep inner work, processing of all traumas that had taken up space in my body.

When my father was at his worst, I truly woke up that I wasn’t living a life aligned with my purpose. My purpose is to use my intuition to guide women to heal their minds and therefore their body. This is a mix of both mindset and physical work. My clients have told me I’ve helped them more than years of therapy and I am not only proud but determined to bring this healing to as many people as I can.

What do you love the most about owning a business in or working in Massachusetts?

I love living here. I have all of my life! I love the 4 seasons and I feel that Massachusetts has such a variety of culture and history. This is why although curious, my husband and I have never left and are raising our family here.

What are your favorite small businesses to support in Massachusetts?

This is from a recent post of mine – all of the Instagram handles here have supported me, my family in one way or another!

What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?

That no job, no business, no success is worth anything if I’m not caring for myself/my family or having them to celebrate with.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would your next dream job be?

My dream is to coach women full time! I love what I am doing. I still consult part time for a small biotech developing drugs for patients with breast cancer and sarcoma but my passion is in disease prevention rather than reacting to illness. I have spent over 20 years in drug development.

When you’re not working, what activities do you enjoy?

I genuinely love spending time with my family; my husband of 18 years (almost 27 together) and our two daughters Emma (8) and Isla (6). I love spending time in the woods or at the beach and skiing in the winter; I love to read both fiction and spiritual/personal development/healing books and play with our dog Sophia. I love to do yoga and move my body in any way.
