Introduce yourself! Who are you and what do you do at your Chamber of Commerce?
I’m the President of the Board of the Pembroke Chamber of Commerce. The Pembroke Chamber of Commerce is run by all volunteers. As with every non profit during the past few years, it’s been rough. We have been extremely fortunate we survived and are thriving, but we need more members. The Pembroke Chamber is a great opportunity for new and established businesses to get your message out!
What made you want to work for the Chamber of Commerce?
I wanted to increase the positive perception among consumers and business owners when being identified as a member of a Chamber of Commerce.
What do you love the most about the area where you live in Massachusetts?
Pembroke is among the oldest towns in the country. I love that it has easy access to the North River and beautiful lakes in addition to being one town away from the ocean. Its historical homes and a vibrant downtown are also great.
Why do you think it’s important for everyone to be a member of a Chamber of Commerce?
Being a part of a like-minded group dedicated to helping businesses grow and connect can push your career or business further.
What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
The connection is the most important part of being involved in the Chamber. As a small business owner creating your brand, it’s the hardest part. I found that joining the Chamber opened doors. Volunteering to host an event or helping run an event creates opportunities and long-lasting business relationships
If you weren’t in your current position, what would your next dream job be?
I am President of Tiny & Sons Auto Glass Co. in Pembroke. My dream job is what I do now!
When you’re not working, what activities do you enjoy?
Reading at the Talking Information Center in Marshfield, volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield, and working at the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth.
