Navigating Grief at Work: Offering Support and Working Through Loss

Navigating Grief at Work: Offering Support and Working Through Loss

Date: September 2nd, 2026

Time: 12:00pm Eastern

Location: Virtual

Description:

Grief doesn’t clock out when we do, but most workplaces aren’t equipped to handle it well.

This webinar will share how to navigate loss in professional settings, whether you’re a business owner supporting a grieving employee, a colleague unsure of what to say, or someone trying to find your own footing after a loss.

You’ll walk away with practical tools and language for supporting yourself and others through grief, a clearer understanding of what grieving people need in a professional setting, and the confidence to show up with compassion instead of uncertainty.

About Our Speaker

Julie Foster, M.Ed. is the founder of A New Path Life & Grief Coaching, where she helps individuals and organizations navigate grief, loss, and life’s most challenging transitions with compassion, practical tools, and evidence-based strategies. She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Bridgewater State University and is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist through the Grief Recovery Institute, a Certified Grief Educator trained by David Kessler, and an ICF Level 2 trained Life Coach.

With more than a decade of experience as a mental health counselor in substance use disorder treatment programs, Julie has supported thousands of individuals through grief, trauma, addiction recovery, and major life transitions. She is known for creating psychologically safe environments where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to move forward. Drawing from both professional expertise and lived experience—including the loss of her mother to glioblastoma—Julie combines clinical knowledge with deep empathy to help others find hope after loss.

Julie facilitates grief support groups, educational workshops, and professional trainings for healthcare organizations, employers, Councils on Aging, senior living communities, hospice organizations, recovery programs, and community groups throughout Massachusetts. Her presentations are engaging, practical, and deeply human, equipping participants with immediately applicable strategies while normalizing conversations about grief in places where it is often misunderstood or overlooked.
