Largest Pizza Festival in New England Returns to Boston’s City Hall Plaza

June 13, 2025  |

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Pizza Festival is pleased to announce its return to City Hall Plaza in Boston’s government center. The largest consumer pizza event in New England will take place on Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The Boston Pizza Festival will showcase over 30 of the best pizzerias from Greater Boston, New England, and select regions of Italy. With vegan options available, there’s something for every kind of pizza lover. Each pizzeria will fire up handcrafted Fiero Group artisan ovens, and this year marks the U.S. debut of Molino Scoppettuolo flour from Grottaminarda, Avellino—bringing 100% Italian-made flour to Boston. Peroni will sponsor refreshments throughout the weekend, alongside wine selections from 19 Crimes. The two-day celebration will also include an interactive pizza-making demo with The Dough Connection, plus live music and entertainment.

“Each year we work to make the festival bigger and better, and 2025 is shaping up to be our most exciting yet,” said Giancarlo Natale, Co-Director of the Boston Pizza Festival. “From new slice packages to interactive demos and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We can’t wait to welcome thousands of pizza lovers back to Boston this June.”

The 2025 Boston Pizza Festival is introducing a new ticketing structure to make planning the perfect pizza day even easier. All guests must purchase a $10 Admission Ticket, which includes entry into the event and two pizza slices (any toppings of your choice). Additional slice packages—available exclusively as add-ons—let attendees customize their experience with options like The Love Triangle (3 slices), The Pizza Lover (5 slices), and The Whole Fam (10 slices). Please note, add-on packages do not grant event entry on their own. Admission will increase to $15 on June 21 and 22, the weekend of the event. All ticket details and purchasing options are now available on the Boston Pizza Festival website.

“We’re proud to bring the Boston Pizza Festival back to City Hall Plaza, where we can continue to celebrate the incredible talent of local and regional pizzerias alongside some of Italy’s finest,” said Raffaele Scalzi, Co-Director of the Boston Pizza Festival. “This event is all about sharing our love for pizza, bringing people together, and creating a fun, flavorful experience for everyone—from die-hard pizza aficionados to families spending the day out in the city.”

Some of the participating pizzerias include the legendary Sally’s Apizza of New Haven, Eataly’s beloved Rossopomodoro, and the internationally renowned Italian Pizza Festival “Pizza a Vico”—making a rare appearance from Vico Equense, Italy, located on the Sorrento Peninsula. Known for its celebration of pizza, Pizza a Vico is bringing a team of Italy’s top pizza makers to Boston, offering festival-goers a truly once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience authentic Italian pizza made by the masters themselves, without leaving City Hall Plaza.
