Andrew Kamholz, Ph.D. has 20 years of experience as an executive, leading growth stage companies to market success. Andy’s approach centers around building a team, maintaining culture, and inspiring each employee’s passion. His strengths include technology development, recruiting, employee mentorship and retention, and long-term vision.

Currently, Andy serves as CEO of Edge Precision Manufacturing Inc., which he founded in 2005. Edge is a CMO for high-precision thermoplastic disposables, and has helped dozens of companies bring products to market. Andy led Edge through a 2015 merger, 2018 spinout, and finally through a 2022 acquisition by ZEON Corporation.

Andy has served as an interim CEO and has advised numerous biotech companies, both public and private. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington. He is a patent agent, holds 14 US patents and is co-author on more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications. In his free time, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and dogs, as well as baseball statistics and relaxing in the nearest hammock.
