What made you want to start your business?
After starting and running multiple businesses, and reinventing myself, I came to the realization that what I love is building businesses. I became certified in business coaching and business management and started Small Business Results, and now I am able to do what I truly love for others all the time!
What do you love the most about owning a business in or working in Massachusetts?
I was born and bred in Newton, MA. I not only lived here my whole life but have run my businesses here. I love that geographically I am only an hour from beaches, mountains and parks and 20 minutes to Boston. I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
What are your favorite small businesses to support in Massachusetts?
I support my local chamber as well as the few local bookstores. I am loyal to shopping small and local.
What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
The biggest lesson I have learned is to build and keep relationships in both business and personal life. It is the constant give and take that builds community, which is essential for success.
If you weren’t in your current position, what would your next dream job be?
That is tough because this is my dream job! I would like to work on a boat in the Caribbean and take people out to snorkel and fish.
When you’re not working, what activities do you enjoy?
I read, write, and visit with friends and family. I exercise and like to cook. I like to laugh a lot.
