Introduce yourself! Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Amy and I am a real estate agent who specializes in guiding individuals through the complex process of buying or selling a home during or after a divorce. My mission is to provide a supportive, seamless experience, helping you transition into your next chapter with confidence. In late 2024, I founded The Breakup Broker.
What made you want to start your business?
I’ve been a real estate agent for 8 years but recently went through my own divorce. Having to navigate that process while simultaneously preparing properties for sale and packing and moving was super stressful. I realized if it was stressful for me, someone who does it for a living, it must be downright overwhelming for everyone else.
What do you love the most about owning a business in Massachusetts?
I love being surrounded by thoughtful, intelligent, hard-working colleagues and industry professionals.
What are your favorite small businesses to support in Massachusetts?
I love local garden centers. Most recently Rockland Garden Center where I got my Christmas tree!
What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
There will always be peaks and valleys. Don’t get too high on the peaks or too low in the valleys.
If you weren’t in your current position, what would your next dream job be?
This is out of left field, but I would love to be a floral designer.
When you’re not working, what activities do you enjoy?
I meditate a lot. I also love drinking coffee, running, and supporting animal rescue.
