Introduce yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

I’m a leadership coach, mindfulness teacher, and strategist at Learn Mindfully. My mission is to help all leaders thrive at work, not just survive. I do this through 1:1 coaching, training and consulting.

My approach focuses on integration of head, heart, and body, which helps clients reestablish their relationship to work, themselves, and the people they work with.

What made you want to start your business?

After facing burnout, panic attacks, and a serious injury that forced me to slow down, I realized it was time to reevaluate my priorities – and my career.

I decided to go back to my roots in learning development and coaching and establish my own practice on my terms. It’s been a beautiful journey of focusing on what gives me energy , getting better work life balance, and serving others in the community.

What do you love the most about owning a business in Massachusetts?

Being your own boss is really amazing. You get a ton of autonomy to create a life that works for you, not the other way around. I get to decide my own hours, the type of clients I want to support to ensure I’m working with values aligned companies and leaders. All of the small business owners I’ve met in MA have been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and open to lending a hand or sharing lessons they’ve learned along the way!

What are your favorite small businesses to support in Massachusetts?

Sweet Basil in Needham, MA! It is my favorite restaurant in the area. The owner Dave Becker is simply fantastic. He created such a cozy spot that always feels like home the moment I walk into the door. You have to try their rosemary chicken pasta!

What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?

Work doesn’t have to be hard, it can be easeful and even fun! For many years, I doubled down on my weaknesses over my strengths thinking that work had to be difficult. It wasn’t until I embraced my values and what I enjoyed that work became more easeful and fun for myself.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would your next dream job be?

I would start a flower farm. I’m an avid gardener and fill the yard with dahlias, zinnias, and more.

When you’re not working, what activities do you enjoy?

When Im not working you can often find me in the garden, meditating, reading a good book, or exploring some new recipes. I’ve also experimented with cross stitching lately which has been a great nesting activity as I await the arrival of my first child.

Thank you for sharing more about yourself! Tell us how we can get in touch with you or find you online.
