Summerlin Floors is a proudly woman-owned flooring business rooted in Amherst, Massachusetts. Today, I’m honored to run the company alongside my daughter, Lori. Together, we work side by side to carry on the family legacy that first began in 1968, blending tradition, trust, and a shared commitment to quality service. The same values that guide us as family – respect, resilience, and commitment – are the foundation of how we serve our customers every day. Being a family-run business has never held Lori and I back. If anything, it has strengthened both our business and our relationship.

At Summerlin Floors, we take pride in offering a carefully curated selection of flooring, from timeless classics to unique, hard-to-find options. We focus on environmentally friendly flooring like Marmoleum, Amorim Cork, and Kaleen Pure Life Carpet, which uses GOTS-certified organic dyes for the highest standard in sustainability. Guided by these values, we offer a carefully curated selection of healthy, safe flooring options and work closely with homeowners and small business owners to find the perfect fit for their vision and budget.

Working alongside my daughter, Lori, we’re able to collaborate seamlessly, make decisions with mutual trust, and tackle challenges together, all while keeping the heart of Summerlin Floors grounded in the principles we both believe in.

We’ve learned to put customer care at the forefront of everything we do, but family will always come first. Working together has taught us how to maintain a strong family bond while running a business.

Respecting each other’s roles and strengths is one of the most important things we can do. We recognize that one of us excels in certain areas and the other in different ones, and we honor and rely on each other’s expertise both at home and in the business.

Lori’s daughters, my granddaughters, actively join in creative projects, like filming content during our quarterly content shoots, bringing their energy and ideas to the business. Their involvement strengthens our family bond and makes Summerlin Floors a true multigenerational labor of love!
