Massachusetts is packed with women who build, lead, and care—for their businesses, their communities, and their families. Most of us do it while living almost entirely in our heads. Strategy, deadlines, and constant reinvention can leave the body behind.
And now there’s a new shortcut tempting us to stay disconnected: AI-generated portraits. With a few clicks you can upload selfies and receive a gallery of “perfect” headshots or glam shots without ever stepping in front of a camera. Convenient? Sure. But those images don’t ask you to inhabit (to truly live inside) the confidence they depict.
I’m Ria MacKenzie, a photographer and embodiment guide specializing in boudoir and creative portraits. My work helps women get out of their heads and into their bodies, because the body tells a truer story than the mind or an algorithm ever could. Through a portrait experience you learn to claim the boldest version of yourself, and that energy carries into every part of your life and business.
AI can render a flawless likeness, but it can’t give you the felt experience of standing in your own power. When you physically step in front of a camera, breathe, and let yourself be seen, you train your nervous system to take up space. That shift is profound:
Many of my clients come to me for artful imagery, but they leave with something bigger: an unshakable belief in their presence. They show up in their personal lives, in business, and online with the confidence they embodied during the shoot, not because a program made them look “better,” but because they felt it in real time.
Most people hold their breath when the lens points their way. Three slow inhales and exhales soften the face and ignite the eyes—no neural network required.
Mine is The Click Witch. Giving your bold side a name makes it easier to slip into that energy. An AI filter can’t conjure that playful spark.
Walk, sway, hair-flip, stretch. Movement loosens the body and creates photos filled with real emotion—something digital composites can’t fake.
Wear pieces that express the version of you you’re ready to reveal: a power-color blazer, a silk slip, a statement shoe. Clothes become a physical mantra.
Fun is how we tap the energy we want to attract. Laughter and experimentation create authentic images and a confidence boost that outlasts any trend.
Portrait work is my medium, but embodiment is the lesson. AI can mimic your likeness; it can’t give you the experience of becoming the bold, present version of yourself. If you want more ideas for bringing that presence into your own story, find me on Instagram @theclickwitch or at www.riamackenziephotography.com. Use these practices with any photographer (or even your own smartphone) and watch how powerfully you begin to show up everywhere.
