Kevin Lopez serves as the Executive Director of Hoops and Homework, bringing over 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and community development. Kevin is committed to fostering positive change and empowering youth and families through innovative programs and strategic initiatives.

Kevin’s journey in nonprofit work began with a passion for creating equitable opportunities, especially for underserved communities. Over the years, he has spearheaded numerous successful projects. His leadership is characterized by a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, effective program management, and a collaborative approach to community engagement.

His experience spans across many areas including comprehensive and career/technical education, community outreach, workforce development, youth development, sports management, making him a versatile and dynamic leader.

Kevin has continued to enhance his skills through many trainings, workshops and peer learning opportunities. He is also actively involved in the Framingham community serving on MassHire Metro South/West’s Youth Connections Committee, The Metropolitan Area Planning Council’s Framingham Climate Action Committee, The City of Framingham’s Racial Equity Advancement & Collaborative Hub Team, Framingham’s Mayoral Community Center Advisory Committee, MetroWest Non-Profit Network board member, Resiliency for Life board member, and Leadership MetroWest board member, Family Promise of Natick board member, and Amplify LatinX ALX100 2024-2025 Honoree demonstrating his dedication to community service and advocacy.

In his role as Executive Director, Kevin is focused on expanding Hoops and Homework’s reach and impact, ensuring that more individuals and families benefit from the organization’s programs and services. His vision and leadership continue to inspire the team and drive the mission forward.
