EP 173 with Angela Park from February 19, 2026
Angela Park is the Executive Director of Springfield Performing Arts Ventures (SPAV), a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to the arts and strengthening community in Springfield, Massachusetts. With a deep passion for the performing arts and a strong commitment to equity and cultural enrichment, Angela played a leading role in the transformation of the historic Faith United Church into 52 Sumner, a state of the art performance venue.
Under her leadership, 52 Sumner underwent a major renovation, including structural improvements and the installation of a professional sound and lighting system. Since its opening in early 2024, the space has become home to MOSSO, the Springfield Chamber Players, and the Springfield Community Theater of MA. The venue now regularly hosts live performances and community events that are immersive, inclusive, and affordable.
Angela, and 52 Sumner/SPAV co-founder, Dan McKellick, created a vision for 52 Sumner that is rooted in the belief that the arts should be accessible to all. Through education, performance, and outreach, she continues to foster a welcoming environment that promotes creative expression, personal growth, and cultural connection for residents across the region.
In addition to her work at 52 Sumner/SPAV, Angela is owner of Tree House Properties LLC and Program Director of Parks Academy of Tae Kwon Do. She has earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree both from Bay Path University. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her children and on the water with the Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club.
