Celebrate Massachusetts Business Network with us!
After launching in November, we’re itching to host our launch party and networking event to celebrate our platform that’s amplifying the voices of organizations across the state. This event will be taking place at Castle Island Brewing in Norwood on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 6 pm. What could be better than hosting this during National Small Business Week?
We hope that you’ll join the party! Be sure to bring your business cards, as there will be plenty of networking opportunities. There will also be a cash bar and appetizers to enjoy.

Big Blue Conference
The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce’s Blue Economy Foundation, Inc. with support from Avangrid, Mass Maritime Academy, Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce, Plymouth Foundation, and special guest speakers State Senator Susan Moran and Secretary of Economic Development Yvonne Hao presents the Big Blue Conference.
This two-day conference — held at Mass Maritime Academy on Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3, 2023 — is an opportunity to hear from business, policy, and education leaders on relevant topics pertaining to Cape Cod and surrounding regions’ Blue Economy and overall economic outlook.
Discussions on day one of The Big Blue Conference will focus on offshore wind energy production with speakers from Avangrid, Mass Maritime Academy, and more. Day two topics will highlight speakers representing aquaculture, tourism, education, advocacy, energy providers, and municipal representatives.

Salem Chamber of Commerce’s 99th Annual Celebrate Salem Awards Dinner
The Salem Chamber of Commerce’s 99th Annual Celebrate Salem Awards Dinner will take place in the beautiful Atrium of the Peabody Essex Museum on the evening of Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 6:30 pm.
The program of the evening will include the presentation of the “Celebrate Salem Awards” in 7 categories. The process for the nominations and selection of winners is a two phase process. In the first period businesses and people were nominated, after which the Awards Committee selected 6 nominees per category.
The evening will include a special presentation of the Salem Chamber Presidents Award to Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll for her outstanding job as Mayor of Salem.
The theme for this year’s dinner is “Spirits: Tsherin Sherpa with Robert Beer,” based on a current PEM exhibit. Spirits is an exhibition that explores the forces of tradition and innovation through the work of two leading figures in Himalayan art. Nepalese-born Tibetan American artist Tsherin Sherpa and Welshman Robert Beer – lauded as the first Westerner to study Tibetan Buddhist thangka painting and one of the tradition’s greatest and most respected masters. – reveal the strict forms, symbols and motifs from which Sherpa draws inspiration.
Tickets for the event are $125 per person and include a welcoming drink during the networking reception and a delicious sit down dinner.

Thanks to the support of businesses and individuals like yourself we were able to award our 2022 Foundation grant to AMG Snacks, a small business founded here on the South Shore who manufactures their products right in Plymouth. Her products can be found at many South Shore retailers such as Slacktide Coffee, Vela Juice Bar, Good Health, Roche Bros., Brothers Marketplace, Big Y and Whole Foods stores.
