Massachusetts Business Network Offers 2026 Wicked Good Summer Challenge

Every July, something predictable happens across Massachusetts. The phones get a little quieter. The inbox slows down. Business owners coast through the summer with good intentions and a vague plan to “hit the ground running” come September. And then September arrives, and they’re scrambling.

This year, we’re offering a different path.

What Is the Wicked Good Summer Challenge?

The Wicked Good Summer Challenge is a free, four-week business development challenge designed specifically for Massachusetts business owners, built to fit around beach days, long weekends, and yes, the traffic down the Cape.

Starting July 6th, you’ll receive one focused challenge in your inbox every Monday for four weeks. Each challenge is practical, actionable, and designed to take advantage of the one thing summer actually gives you: a little breathing room.

The Four Weeks at a Glance

Week 1: “Down the Cape” — Slow down to speed up.

Before you sprint into the second half of the year, you need to know where you actually stand. This week is about reflection and direction: reviewing the past six months, setting your Q4 goals, and identifying the three anchors that need to happen between now and December 31st. Think of it as finally pulling over to check the map before you drive any further.

Week 2: “The Dunkin’ Run” — Show up for your network before you need something from it.

In Massachusetts, nobody does a Dunkin’ run alone; you always ask what everyone wants. This week, you’ll re-engage past clients, warm up cold leads, make a referral for someone else first, and have at least one real conversation with a potential referral partner. Summer is the best time for this: people are relaxed, guards are down, and your competitors are quiet.

Week 3: “The Rotary” — Pick your gap and go.

Anyone who’s driven a Massachusetts rotary knows you don’t slow down and overthink it. This week is for the move you’ve been almost ready to make for months: raising your prices, launching the offer sitting in your drafts, pitching a dream client, or finally showing up on the channel you’ve been avoiding. No more waiting.

Week 4: “The Lobster Trap” — Build something that works while you’re not watching.

A lobster trap does its job while you’re nowhere near it. This week, you’ll build the systems and content that generate pipeline while you’re still in summer mode: a scheduled September re-engagement email, an automated follow-up for cold leads, a referral ask template, and a content plan so September doesn’t catch you flat-footed. Set it now. Pull it up in the fall.

How It Works

Each Monday in July, you’ll receive a challenge email with 3-5 options for the week. Do the ones that fit your business right now. Not every option will apply to everyone, and that’s by design.

You’ll also get access to a private Facebook group for Massachusetts business owners doing the challenge alongside you, so you can share wins, ask questions, and hold each other accountable throughout the month.

Complete all four weeks and you’ll receive a certificate to commemorate the fact that you actually used your summer for something.

Is This Right for You?

This challenge was built for solo and small service-based business owners in Massachusetts who want a stronger Q3 and Q4 without burning out, people who know they have a bold move to make and just need a little structure and accountability to actually make it.

It’s probably not the right fit if you’re looking for a passive course, if you’re not based in or serving Massachusetts, or if you’re not willing to do the work. The challenge is free, but it does require showing up.
